I know i have come a long way from (10) ten plus years ago... and it's been continuous learning process working my way into this art of the music business. The music and business influences are very diverse and the Peachtree Music Group family grew up listening, learning and reading everything from Gospel, Rap/Hip Hop and R&B....to more alternative forms of rock, jazz...etc. There are a great deal of musicians and business men beyond mention.., some of which are great role models, some who have been influential to us in helping us along our creativity, business decision makings and artistically path of professionals. What do we want from the industry? A lot of work.... Not just anything, just a fair deal. GOD will take it from there no doubt. That is about it for now. Atlanta's newest and most diverse record label, 17.20 Records, has entered into a joint venture deal with Atlanta-based Peachtree Music Group to release local Hip-Hop trio C-SIDE's skyrocketing single MySpace Freak, featuring hit-making producer, Jazze Pha. 17.20 Records President/CEO Terry K. Its the next morning after the BET Awards and I can barely remember how I got home. I look at the clock and can't make out the time, but my Sidekick is buzzin like crazy. I get a text from a familiar 314 area code number, and it says "we bout to start the day, R U coming thru?", I hit back and say "I'm on my way". I just been invited to meet with an exclusive network of people that have been making a lot of moves on and off the radar. People see their names blasted in emails and word of mouth, but who are these guys, UNI Productions, Kanecc, Natural Disaster, Hitt Breaka djs, and the infamous NETWORK?

Kanecc name pops up in many conversations, rather it be beats, eblasts, or promotions, he's known in the game by A&R's and artists. Antonio "Top Cat" Randolph is known for his works behind, Trillville, Franchise Boyz, and C-Side. Natural Disaster has been simmering behind the scenes and now made his mark with the new smash hit with Soulja Boy Tell'um , Turn My Swag On.

As my thoughts are still blurry and the sun is hurting my eyes, I try to follow the directions Kanecc text me, it seems like i've been driving on this Atlanta highway for hours. I arrive in a gated community, and a guard lets me thru. I arrive at a big house and greeted by Natural Disaster , who quickly escorts me to the back of the home, into his studio. Kanecc is talking on one phone, and texting without looking on his Sidekick without looking, a true talent of a network genius. Dual pipes rumbling make me turn and look out the window, Top Cat is now in the building. When Top Cat steps in you get an automatic feeling you have just met the younger version of Sean Combs. Kanecc gives me dap, and doesn't skip a beat on the phone, and points to Top Cat, then to me and to Natural Disaster then back to me and says " Peoples - Fam,, Fam- Peoples"

Top Cat starts off by spittin some their movements right now...............

As you know the game is crazy right now, people losing jobs, artists getting signed with no budget and left to try to blow up with nothing, then their stuck in weird contracts, things have been bad across the board. We been working on this NETWORK for some time now, the NETWORK consists of companies and individuals and we all move as one. Kanecc brought his network and i brought mine, and results came out of us joining forces. My production company can't be touched right now, everyone is trying to take advantage of producers during the drought, but we aint about to let that happen to this camp. I got a group on Universal, I got placements with.............................. Kanecc cuts him off to speack to an A&R on the phone

Kanecc: you know it fam, the NETWORK sleeps for no man, i'm talking to all my associates all day long, I got Dj Maniakal out in the Bay Area, Lungz P in Orlando, Florida, Playmaker holding down, St. Louis, and East St. Louis, i'm hittin Jermaine Dupri, Paul Wall , Chingy, Kaspa, Greg Street, Tony Neal, ....I'm telling you this like the stock market, I like to stay in constant contact to see what stock is going up and which is going down, when to sell and when to buy. The main thing is to make sure people dont pull an Enron on you

Interviewer: what is that?

Kanecc: thats when you start a business deal with someone, then they go around your back and try to do the deal without you and take the money and run, I ran into too many of those this year. its a drought so everyone playing cut throat, I'm just not that type of dude, I try to create genuine business relationships, aint no point of me screwing you out of any money. When you build solid relationship, now you have a foundation, and people in your corner, and people looking out for you, or in places where you can't be at. You start to become powerful with solid contacts and relationships, and the cash flow is always positive. When you deal with crooked artists and managers, that just run game trying to get you to do work for them, or give up contacts and connections, so they take it and run, it always come back on them. Greed is a hellava drug fam! I did alot of s*** for people for free just so i can see them get started and to show them i'm a good dude and work in faith, and that has helped me gain some true friends I hope to have forever, but at the same time you meet people that try to take advantage of you. It ain't no thing I can let it ride, or go back to my street ways, its however I wanna do it, but I'm trying to do right so I can be blessed , like these 2 dudes right here.

Natural Disaster : It feels good to be around people that got your back and pushing your music and your movement, Top Cat and Kanecc on this stuff everyday, if Kanecc ain't on the computer, he on the phone talking to people, if he aint' talking he texting like crazy, Top cat does the same, he hitting up spots and clubs, meetings, conference calls its crazy none stop, i mean look what the hell they drinking!

Top Cat: Its a wrap! I'm starting on that deal this week. I'm telling you, people keep thinking we not connected and don't realize the NETWORK is strong. I'm talking BET, Clear Channel, Radio One, every DJ coalition, I can't go into detail , cuz we can't explain our whole business structure, but these industry dudes gotta stop thinking we can't enter their circle.

Interviewer: So what is the NETWORK and who is in it?

Top Cat: All I can tell you is this, Djs, Producers, TV, Radio, the streets, and even Commercial America, we got it. You want a single pushed, we got it! You want a track that is going to blow you up , we got it? You want marketing and promotions, we got it! If you don't know Kanecc, you better get to know him. If you don't know Top Cat, you better call me up and get at me! We doing everything ourselves playing the roles of multiple departments. We doing artist developement, we doing management, promoting, and using new marketing tactics that others aint thinking of.
